The Busy B has been the owners dream since she was just a little girl. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, she knew one day she wanted a business of her own. Holly soon realized that retail wasn’t just a hobby, it was her passion. She also loved helping people. It was not a surprise when she decided that she wanted to open a gift boutique in her small hometown of La Grange. But, she wanted it to be different. She wanted it to be more than just another gift shop. She wanted it to be an experience like no other in the gift shop world. Holly wanted to fill the store with unique finds that really spoke to her and her customers.
After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2001, Holly came back to La Grange with that vision and big dreams. With the support of her family, she opened The Busy B in March of 2002. She searched high and low for gifts that inspired her. Gifts that you just could not find around every corner. But most importantly, gifts that would make people happy. Through the years Holly and her Busy B girls have helped customers find the perfect gifts for every occasion. From the joy of a first grandchild, to sharing tears while hearing the story of the customer, who was on their way to their father’s funeral and needed something for their mom who was grieving. Holly has laughed and cried with her customers, who quickly have become some of her dearest friends. She likes to say that they enter as strangers and leave as friends.
Holly opened the store at a young age, and has grown right along with it. In 2010, she married the love of her life and in 2014, they had their precious daughter, Elyse. The Busy B is so much more that just a store to Holly. It’s the place she goes most days and can’t imagine life without. It has brought so much into her life, including relationships she would have never had without it. The store has expanded time and time again over the years and Holly continues to have those big dreams that began with a little girl playing store. She hopes you will all visit her store at some point and feel like family, just the way she intended.
